My fangirling life

Just a week ago, I've got a notice from the group saying that TVXQ would come and perform in an event at a theme park outside my city. I freaked out, mostly because this week I need to participate in a training last for the whole week. They came on Friday and you all knew how amusing the traffic in Jakarta was and it made me almost impossible to watch them live in the venue. Sad by the news, I saw the updates two days ago that they will come to SM Entertainment office in here and it's really close to my office omg I put my luck in it, waiting for almost an hour with other Cassiopeia and here it was!! I saw them right in front of me, standing tall and of course handsome and charming lol It was not my first time meeting them but still I was swooned over by how charismatic they were. Both of them smiled and waved to the crowd, made a short visit to the office and interviewed by local entertainment news as they needed to catch up to the venue soon. It was indeed a short period lasting for around one hour and half. Nevertheless, Im happy and hopefully I have the chance to meet them again. I've been their fangirl for more than 10 years and they are my source of happiness when I feel down and tired, since everybody has their own way of relieving stress right? No need to mind other people's business. Have a great day!

Movie review: Parasite (기생충)

Yes, finally I tried to give this movie a shot. After all those reviews I read (even before they won FOUR awards in Oscars), I just finished watching it yesterday and I loved it. Unique and unpredictable storyline are the winning points of the movie combined with brilliant casts and actings. Hence, I will write this review from my point of view as a person who has been given the spoiler to the details by my friend lol

The story starts with Ki Taek (played by Song Kangho), the head of four-member family, living in a basement with his wife Chungsook, son Kiwoo, and daughter Kijeong. Four of them are jobless and try to do everything to make ends meet. One day, Kiwoo's friend, Minhyuk, comes to his house and tells him to take over his job as a tutor in the wealthy Park family since he will go abroad to continue his study. Previously, Kiwoo has taken university entrance exams for four times but he failed to pass all of them. With his sister's help, they fraud the university certificate to make him convincing enough as a university student with the alias 'Kevin'. With his knowledge, he successfully convinces Mrs Park to allow him teaching their daughter. After a few meetings, the daughter falls in love with so-called Kevin. He also observes that their younger son is hyperactive and unsociable but he loves art; Kevin recommends his sister Kijeong to Mrs Park to teach him art but this time Kijeong acts as a world-class art therapist 'Jessica'. One day, Jessica finishes class late and Mrs Park tells her driver to take Jessica home, but she purposedly left her underwear in the backseat and trapped him so that he would be fired. All the plans go well and this time their father Ki Taek acts as the new driver for Mr Park, posing as a driver with tons of experience driving Benz. Not satisfied enough with the situation, they trap the head of the household assistant saying she has a TB infection, coughing blood the whole time where actually she has pear allergy and they put pear powder all over her body to make her coughing and sneezing. The assistant gets fired and now their mother Chungsook is the new house assistant. One day, Park family wants to go camping to fulfil their son's wish and it's supposed to be a 2D1N trip. Ki Taek and his family stay in the house as if they are the owner, eating everything inside the fridge and drinking beer, enjoying the hot bathtub to the fullest. The plan goes on smoothly until someone unpredictably knocks the door and it turns out to be the old house assistant. This is when everything starts to go wrong. She wants to take her belonging left in the basement since last time she didnt have the time to pack it. It takes a lot of time; Chungsook is curious what's left in the basement, and she is surprised to see her trying to open a secret door behind wine rack. The secret behind the door is something you'll never think of, and even if I already knew beforehand about it, I still surprised at how the writer can think about this idea. The rest is what you should watch by yourself (or else it would be too much spoiler). The main leads are all experienced actors and actress in Korean movie industry; their actings are on point!! Song Kangho is a regular award-winning actor and Im happy for him that he gets even bigger recognizition now. His acting is top notch, as an unemployed man yet a loving father, protecting his family till the end. The siblings are annoying at first, but you can see how they love and take care of each other. The way they smoothly prepared for the family member to work in the house one by one is also another plus point of this movie. Parasite is said to be inspired based on true story of Christine and Lea Papin, two French sisters and live-in maids who were convicted of murdering their employer's wife and daughter in early 20th century. If you enjoy Korean movies like I do, this one is highly recommended and you need to watch it to know why they deserve all the Oscars. Kudos to the director Bong Joonho and the Parasite team!

Drama review: Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim Season 1

I know Im late to just finished this drama yesterday, but it didnt appeal me much in the past. Starting to watch it since Im watching the currently airing season 2 and it's awesome. Medical drama always has its charm to attract me, perhaps because I could relate about the workload and environment they portrayed in the drama. After finished watching the first season, all I could say is I like it more compare to season 2. The veteran leads, storyline, characters, their acting, etc propose a perfect formula to the whole drama. The story tells about Han Suk Kyu as Master Kim (alias for dr. Boo Yong Joo), a triple board surgeon specialist in General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Neuro Surgery, who suddenly disappears from the world and no one knows where he is. Seo Hyun Jin acts as dr Yoon Seo Jung, a CS fellow has a trauma from her past where her fiance died in a car accident on the day she was proposed. Yoo Yeon Seok acts as dr Kang Dong Joo, a GS fellow who was badly treated in the past because of his poor family background and he desired to be the best in his field. Master Kim works in Doldam Hospital located in suburb area and that's the place where three of them meet. Dr Yoon runs to the forest to escape from the fact that her fiance has died and injured herself; that's how Master Kim finds and takes her to the hospital to give her emergency care. She then devotes herself to work in the hospital to learn more from Master Kim. Dr Yoon and dr Kang met when she was her senior and he's an intern in Geodae Hospital's emergency unit. He fell in love with her because of her unique personality but then she suddenly disappeared and no one knew why. Five years later he is a GS second year fellow, getting transferred to Doldam Hospital because he failed a surgery on a VIP (being trapped by the hospital's director). Annoyed when first arrives in Doldam, he is surprised to find dr Yoon working in the hospital and even more surprised after finding that Master Kim was the one who helped him in the past. Story unfolds about how they try to help each patients and fight against the power of money, teaching them about humanity, friendship, and love. I love how they try portray each cases as real as possible, since in some medical dramas they dont really describe about the treatments or even carelessly do it only for the drama. I learn a lot while watching it and even amaze at how they can diagnose the disease in mere minutes??? In real life, we are delayed mostly by incomplete facilities which cant be compared to what they have in Korea. Some equipments are even rare to been seen here in my workplace. Han Suk Kyu's acting as Master Kim is beyond awesome; he is portrayed as rough outside but warm inside his heart. No wonder he got SBS Daesang in 2016. The romance  is only a bit between Seo Hyun Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok and it isnt the main point of this drama. All the medical staffs work in a harmony and most of them are back again in season 2 although dr Yoon, dr Kang, and dr Do are absent. If you havent watch it, I highly recommend this drama! Definitely a great drama to start my 2020~^^

Back to blogging: Quick Update

Hello peeps! How are you? Yes, finally Im back to blogging again after a long time. I changed my previous blog's url which caused some hackers to get my url directly. I didnt know about this, and when I browsed on why I couldnt get my url again I just knew when you have blogged for a long time and your blog traffic was quite high, they will target on your blog (probably this is what I understand for now). This makes me lost my passion in writing and I left my blog for more than a year. The internship also took my time a lot; I didnt even think to write after I finished my shift as it's been too tiring and draining my energy. I've finished the program in September last year and currenty staying in another city to get another new experience. I will try to write more in the future with some drama and movie reviews like what I used to do. Have a great day!
